Bodegas Patrocinio has won two gold medals at the Baco Awards for Señorío de Uñuela Tempranillo 2015 and Lágrimas de María Viura Tempranillo Blanco 2015. The prizes were awarded on 28 June at Courtyard by Marriott Madrid Princesa. This recognition comes from the Spanish Wine Tasting Union, who evaluate all the wines entered into the awards through a strict blind tasting process.
The Baco Awards are the only competition open to wines exclusively made during the previous harvest, in this case, 2015. The award is in its 30th year. The objectivity and sincerity of the Spanish Wine Tasting Union are no doubt the key values that have caused the Baco Awards to be the longest-running competition, recognised annually by the current Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Environment.
The medals have great promotional value for the young wines they are awarded to, and the Spanish Wine Tasting Union will promote them at their traditional prize giving ceremony to the more than 800 professionals working at the prize-winning wineries. The event toke place on 28 June at Courtyard by Marriott Madrid Princesa (C/ Princesa 40) between 11.30 to 14.30 and between 16.00 to 20.00.
