Bodegas Patrocinio has featured in a film for the first time. The short has been selected for the Ibero-American Short Film Festival and is produced by Linda Films. “La Reunión” – “The Meeting” – is a black comedy short film in which nothing goes as plans. It takes place during a family meal in which Lágrimas de María is the chosen wine.
“La Reunión”, starring Carmen Gutiérrez, Myriam Mora, Emilio Linder, Luciano Ciaglia and Juan Martín Gravina, portrays a family like any other – the grandfather, the married couple, and the son with his girlfriend all meet for dinner. Manuel, the grandfather and patriarch, has important news to tell them. However, the tug of war between Pilar, the mother-in-law from hell, and Cristina, the daughter-in-law loved by all, will cause the dinner to stumble. Add to this a downtrodden husband, Juan, whose attempts to speak will be brutally interrupted by all the other diners, and Guillermo, the mother’s boy who will have to choose between his mother and his girlfriend.
The short film premiered on 7 March and will also be submitted to both national and international film festivals, in Cuba, Cannes, San Sebastián, Valladolid and Málaga.
