Just as we have commented in this blog in previous entries (August 16th 2017) the lifeline of this project is assessing the behavior of the different grape varieties and the different training systems in use. Our goal is to provide hands-on experience to both staff and wine growers, a way to create synergy and build awareness of the nature of our terroir.
In this new post we wish to draw readers a bit closer to our five main grape varieties, that is Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura and Tempranillo Blanco. Gaining an insight into these varieties will provide our followers with the special features and characteristics of our best-known grapes.
The pictures below reveal how well the different varieties can be distinguished at their current grapevine growth stage (inflorescences well developed). Very soon the flowering stage will follow, bringing renewed enthusiasm at a crucial point in grapevine growth development.
