The fair is held in eight pavilions and you can find us at Pavilion Virgilio / Calle 9 / Stand 7. FENAVIN aims to foster commercial contacts at both a domestic and international level, and provides, free of charge, the necessary services to best facilitate this work. In terms of figures, before the fair opened over 45% deals had already been closed compared to the previous year, and 18,514 professionals had signed up, 30% more than two years ago.

Lágrimas de María and ZINIO

Bodegas Patrocinio is in attendance with a wide selection of its range of wines, available for tasting for all visitors to the stand.

Lágrimas de María was born in 2008 out of a desire to develop closer links with our consumers and familiarise them with our winery through our oenologist, María Martínez. The “lágrimas” (tears) of the wine represent the traces left in the glass and the taste that lingers on the palate. These are single-varietal wines made with classic Rioja varieties: Viura and Tempranillo. Fruity flavours and aromas take prominence. Available for tasting are: white, rosé, red, joven, madurado 6 months, crianza and reserva.

In 2005, Bodegas Patrocinio began a new project. The goal was to develop a new range of high quality wines selecting from the 72 hectares located between 450 and 590 metres of altitude, with vines aged between 20 to 80 years, within the 525 hectares that make up our vineyards.

ZINIO was created to honour of the patron saint of the town, Our Lady of Patrocinio. A century ago, storks, which appear as the main image on wine labels, began nesting in the church of Uruñuela, given the inhabitants of this town the name “Cigueñeros”, or “Storks”.

The vineyards are characterised by a production of between 3500 and 6000 kilograms per hectare, and the harvesting of the grapes is done by hand. The grapes have a high polyphenolic concentration (aroma and colour), and achieve incredible alcoholic and phenolic maturity each year. Using some of the classic grapes of the DOCa Rioja as a base: Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha… we developed our most expressive and complex range of wines: ZINIO 200, ZINIO Garnacha, ZINIO Vendimia Seleccionada, ZINIO Reserva and ZINIO Selección de Suelos.
