In the last three months, we have travelled thousands of kilometres to be involved in the most important events nationally and internationally, and at our winery we have welcomed distributors and importers that take our wine to all corners of the world. Our destinations included London, the Netherlands, Mexico and Panama, as well as Logroño, Madrid, San Sebastián, Bilbao and Santander, to name just a few.
At Bodegas Patrocinio we firmly believe in presenting our wines and making them known in person. This enables us to find out what our customers think first-hand. Which is why we never hesitate to get involved and to accept invitations from our customers to offer tastings or to be present at specialised fairs.
In May we travelled to Latin America, and more specifically Panama and Mexico City. In Panama, invited by VinoClub, director of sales Juan Pradell held a tasting for 90 people at The Wine Bar El Cangrejo, introducing the Lagrimas de María range.
In Mexico City, we visited La Buena Fé de Polanco, Texas de Brazil and Vinopremier, a Spanish wine shop which recently crossed the ocean to open a new shop in the country.
On our return from Latin America, we welcomed our Panamanian, Costa Rican and Puerto Rican importers to the winery. They enjoyed a walk around the vineyards, a tasting in the barrel room and an appetiser on our terrace.
In June, Bodegas Patrocinio took part in a new Verema Experience, on this occasion in Madrid. This time, Fernando Villamor, the winery manager, was in charge of presenting the new vintages in the Lágrimas de María and ZINIO ranges at Hotel Westin Palace.
At the end of this month, we were also visited by Hein Post Wijn & Delicatessen from Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands. It was a particularly hot day – the temperature reached 39 degrees – but they visited the vineyards and we organised a tasting of the ZINIO range.
For the eleventh year, we took part in Riojano, Joven y Fresco, presenting our Señorío de Uñuela and Sancho Garcés ranges in various cities like Logroño, San Sebastián, Bilbao and Santander.
